Teaching Children Finances – Jump$tart Coalition

The Jump$tart Coalition is self described on it’s website as a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of pre-kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources.  Jump$tart strives to prepare youth for life-long successful financial decision-making.

I went to their ‘clearinghouse’ and found they carry an astounding selection of free resources that can help you or your child understand topics such as credit and debt or personal money management.

They provide links to downloadable content, online calculators and more. You can visit their resource ‘clearinghouse’ by visiting the following link:

The website encourages visitors to use their materials at home or in the classroom. Many of the links they provide are programs aimed at assisting Educators in the classroom.
