Last month, I staffed a booth at the annual conference of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Besides promoting our credit counseling and debtor education certificate services, my colleague, Nicole Brown, and I gave away a lot of fun stuff, including fruit “infusor” bottles, bobble-head pens, and the following poster that I put together at tagxedo.com:
The poster lists over 50 well-known individuals who have, for various reasons, filed for personal (or business, depending upon their financial structure) bankruptcy over the past 100 years. Some filed due to medical expenses; others because of business deals have gone sour, and still others for just plain old poor financial management. You might have to look pretty close on some of them, as the print gets pretty small. I’ve also included the year of their most recent filing.
My apologies to residents of Manhattan. I am aware that the “Big Apple” is supposed to be red, but the program I was using, while it does some amazing things and all for free, did not allow for a red version. Hopefully, you can still find it of interest.
Have a great weekend!
